Block-Print Workshop

In this immersive two-hour workshop, you'll go behind the scenes to uncover the centuries-old techniques and craftsmanship of block printing, passed down through generations. Our skilled artisans will guide you through the rich history, artistry, and precision that shape the intricate patterns seen in today’s block-printed textiles.

After learning about the creative process, you’ll dive into hands-on instruction. Step by step, we’ll teach you the essentials—from block-making and fabric preparation to colour mixing and the art of block printing. Then, it’s your turn to create your own textile masterpiece, leaving with a unique, handcrafted piece and a deeper appreciation for this timeless craft.

  • Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, this workshop is designed to spark your passion for art and craftsmanship. Join us for a day of creativity, learning, and the joy of crafting something beautiful with your own hands.

  • Our workshop is available from Monday to Saturday with two time slots:

    Morning 11-1 pm
    Afternoon 3-5 pm

    The workshop is not available on National/Hindu Holidays.

  • Adult: 4720 INR
    Student: 2360 INR

    *inclusive of taxes

  • The cost covers a tote bag to print on, fabric for testing, wooden blocks, dyes, and a comprehensive workshop kit.

    The workshop kit includes a diary for note-taking, a custom name block (for bookings made at least one week in advance), a booklet detailing the history of block printing and key terms of the craft, as well as a certificate of participation.
